Sidney Crosby Skates, Thousands of Pittsburghers Thank God

Concussed Penguins captain Sidney Crosby skated for the first time in what seems like years today during the Pens practice.  Is a return to the ice close at hand?

No, no it's not.

Crosby only skated for about 15 minutes and said he has absolutely no idea if he will return to the ice this season.

Sid also disputed a report from Toronto that said he will retire follow this season:
"I'm not thinking too far ahead as time frame," he said. "I just want to get better. This is one of the ways to do that."

Even if this is just the first step of many, Crosby's return to the ice has to bring sighs of relief from Penguins fans everywhere.

Just don't let him go anywhere near Martin Straka.
